Job Title: Financial Controller
Location: Lekki Phase 1, Lagos
Salary: N600,000 - N800,000
Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Financial Controller to oversee and manage the financial operations of our company and its subsidiaries. The ideal candidate will play a critical role in ensuring the accuracy, transparency, and compliance of financial records, identifying and rectifying any leakages, optimizing revenue streams, and ensuring adherence to tax obligations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Financial Management: Oversee and review the financial activities of each subsidiary to ensure accuracy and compliance with financial standards.
- Leakage Detection: Analyze financial data to identify and rectify any revenue leakages or inefficiencies in the system.
- Reporting and Transparency: Ensure clear and transparent financial reporting across all subsidiaries, providing management with actionable insights and reports.
- Tax Compliance: Monitor and ensure timely and accurate fulfillment of all tax obligations and filings, minimizing risks of penalties or non-compliance.
- Bookkeeping: Maintain organized and accurate financial records, ensuring all transactions are properly documented and reconciled.
- Budgeting, Forecasting and Cashflow Management: Develop, monitor, and update budgets and forecasts to align with the company’s financial goals.
- Internal Controls: Establish and maintain robust internal controls to safeguard assets and ensure the integrity of financial information.
- Collaboration: Work closely with department heads, auditors, and external stakeholders to ensure alignment and financial efficiency.
Job Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (ICAN certification preferred).
- Minimum of 8 years of experience in financial management, with a strong track record of overseeing multi-subsidiary operations.
- Deep understanding of financial reporting standards, tax regulations, and compliance requirements.
- Proficiency in financial management software and tools.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with keen attention to detail.
- Excellent organizational and communication skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities effectively.
