Job Title: HR Officer
Location: Lokoja
Salary: N70,000 - N80,000


Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and dynamic HR Officer to join our vibrant bar team. The HR Officer will be responsible for managing all aspects of human resources, ensuring smooth recruitment, employee satisfaction, and compliance with employment laws. The ideal candidate will contribute to fostering a positive work environment that aligns with our bar’s culture and values.


Key Responsibilities

Employee Relations

  • Act as the first point of contact for employee queries and concerns.
  • Foster a positive and engaging workplace environment.
  • Address employee grievances and mediate disputes professionally.
  • Organize team-building activities to promote camaraderie.

Performance Management

  • Monitor and evaluate employee performance regularly.
  • Assist in creating performance improvement plans when necessary.
  • Support the development of training programs to enhance staff skills and performance.

Compliance & Record-Keeping

  • Ensure compliance with local labor laws and regulations.
  • Maintain accurate employee records, including contracts, attendance, and payroll data.
  • Oversee and update HR policies, procedures, and the employee handbook.

Workforce Planning

  • Work closely with management to plan staffing levels and schedules.
  • Identify and resolve staffing gaps during peak hours or special events.

Qualifications & Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Proven experience as an HR Officer or in a similar role, preferably in the hospitality or food & beverage industry.
  • Strong knowledge of labor laws and HR best practices.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to handle sensitive information with discretion.
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills.
  • Proficient in HR software and Microsoft Office Suite.
