About the Role
We are seeking an experienced and energetic Bar Manager to oversee the operations of our bar. The ideal candidate will have a passion for hospitality, strong leadership skills, and a keen eye for detail. This role involves managing staff, ensuring excellent customer service, maintaining inventory, and driving profitability while upholding the highest standards of quality and ambiance.

Key Responsibilities

  • Staff Management:
    • Manage bar staff to deliver exceptional service.
    • Schedule shifts and ensure adequate staffing levels during peak hours.
    • Foster a positive team environment and address staff concerns promptly.
  • Customer Service:
    • Ensure customers receive outstanding service and resolve complaints efficiently.
    • Monitor the bar's ambiance to create a welcoming and enjoyable atmosphere.
    • Build and maintain relationships with regular patrons.
  • Inventory and Stock Management:
    • Manage inventory levels and order supplies to avoid shortages or overstocking.
    • Conduct regular stock checks and monitor usage to minimize wastage.
    • Collaborate with suppliers to source high-quality beverages and negotiate favorable terms.
  • Operations and Compliance:
    • Oversee the day-to-day bar operations, ensuring cleanliness and adherence to health and safety regulations.
    • Maintain and update standard operating procedures for efficient service.
    • Ensure all licenses and permits are up-to-date and compliant with local laws.
  • Financial Management:
    • Monitor sales, set targets, and analyze performance to maximize profitability.
    • Develop and implement strategies to increase revenue, including promotions and special events.
    • Prepare budgets, financial reports, and expense forecasts.
  • Event Coordination:
    • Plan and execute bar promotions, theme nights, and special events to attract customers.
    • Work closely with marketing teams to advertise events and new offerings.
Job Requirement:
  • Proven experience as a Bar Manager or in a similar role in the hospitality industry.
  • In-depth knowledge of bar operations.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong organizational and problem-solving abilities.
  • Proficiency in inventory management and point-of-sale (POS) systems.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing demands.
  • A degree or diploma in Hospitality Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
