Job Summary

We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Accountant to manage financial operations within our dynamic travel organization. This role involves overseeing accounting processes, ensuring compliance with industry standards, and providing actionable financial insights to drive business growth. Key Responsibilities

• Financial Management: Prepare, analyze, and reconcile financial statements, ensuring accurate reporting and compliance with regulations specific to the travel industry.
• Revenue Tracking: Manage income streams, including bookings, reservations, and commissions from travel agents and partners.
• Accounts Payable/Receivable: Oversee payments to vendors, tour operators, and other service providers, and ensure timely collection of client payments.
• Cost Analysis: Monitor operational costs, assess profitability of travel packages, and recommend strategies for cost optimization.
• Budgeting and Forecasting: Develop budgets, financial forecasts, and cash flow reports tailored to the seasonal nature of the travel business.
• Compliance: Stay updated on travel industry regulations, tax requirements, and accounting best practices, ensuring compliance across all financial operations.
• System Management: Utilize accounting software and travel industry booking platforms to streamline financial processes.
• Collaboration: Work closely with the sales, operations, and customer service teams to provide financial insights that inform decision-making.

Job Requirement:

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Experience: Proven experience as an accountant, preferably in the travel or hospitality industry.
• Technical Skills: Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Xero) and familiarity with travel management systems (e.g., Amadeus, Sabre) is highly desirable.
• Analytical Skills: Strong ability to analyze financial data, identify trends, and make recommendations.
• Attention to Detail: Exceptional accuracy in financial reporting and record-keeping.
• Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills to collaborate with internal teams and external stakeholders.
• Time Management: Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
