Job Title: Bar Manager

Location: Lokoja

Salary: N100,000

Employment Type: Full-Time

Job Summary:

We are looking for an experienced and dynamic Bar Manager to lead our team. The Bar Manager will be responsible for the overall operation of the bar, ensuring excellent customer service, maintaining high standards of beverage quality, and driving revenue growth. The ideal candidate will have strong leadership skills, a passion for the hospitality industry, and the ability to create a vibrant and welcoming atmosphere for our guests.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Operational Management:
  • Oversee the daily operations of the bar, including opening and closing procedures.
  • Ensure the bar is fully stocked, organized, and operating efficiently.
  • Implement and maintain standard operating procedures to ensure consistency and quality.
  • Staff Management:
  • Supervise bar staff, including bartenders, servers, and support staff.
  • Schedule staff shifts and manage labor costs.
  • Foster a positive and collaborative work environment, encouraging teamwork and professional development.
  • Customer Service:
  • Ensure a high level of customer satisfaction by providing exceptional service and addressing any issues or complaints promptly.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with regular customers, ensuring a welcoming atmosphere.
  • Monitor and respond to customer feedback to continually improve service quality.
  • Beverage and Inventory Management:
  • Create and manage the beverage menu, including cocktails, wines, beers, and non-alcoholic options.
  • Work with the Inventory Officer to manage inventory levels, order supplies, and control costs.
  • Oversee the maintenance and cleanliness of all bar equipment and areas.
  • Financial Management:
  • Monitor and manage the bar’s budget, revenue, and expenses.
  • Analyze sales and financial reports to identify trends and opportunities for growth.
  • Implement cost control measures and strategies to maximize profitability.
  • Marketing and Promotion:
  • Develop and execute marketing and promotional strategies to attract new customers and retain existing ones.
  • Organize and host events, such as happy hours, themed nights, and special promotions.
  • Collaborate with the marketing team to create engaging social media content and promotional materials.
  • Compliance and Safety:
  • Ensure compliance with all local, state, and federal regulations regarding alcohol service and food safety.
  • Maintain a safe and secure environment for both customers and staff.

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience as a Bar Manager or in a similar managerial role in the hospitality industry.
  • Strong knowledge of mixology, beverage trends, and bar operations.
  • Excellent leadership and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
  • Proficiency in using point-of-sale (POS) systems and inventory management software.
  • Strong financial acumen and experience managing budgets.
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
