Job Title: Inventory Officer

Salary: N50,000
Location: Lokoja
We are seeking a meticulous and organized Inventory Officer to join our dynamic team. The Inventory Officer will be responsible for overseeing the inventory management system, ensuring optimal stock levels, and maintaining accurate records of all inventory transactions. The ideal candidate will have a keen eye for detail, strong organizational skills, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Inventory Management:
- Maintain accurate inventory records for all bar supplies, including beverages, food items, and other consumables.
- Conduct regular stock checks and reconcile discrepancies between physical counts and inventory records.
- Manage and monitor inventory levels to ensure adequate stock is available at all times.
- Ordering and Procurement:
- Coordinate with suppliers and vendors to order necessary stock items.
- Track orders and deliveries to ensure timely receipt of supplies.
- Negotiate with suppliers for the best pricing and terms.
- Stock Control:
- Implement and maintain inventory control procedures and systems.
- Ensure proper storage and handling of inventory to prevent damage and spoilage.
- Oversee the rotation of stock to minimize waste and manage expiration dates.
- Data Analysis and Reporting:
- Analyze inventory data to identify trends, discrepancies, and areas for improvement.
- Generate regular reports on inventory status, usage, and forecasting.
- Provide insights and recommendations to the management team for optimizing inventory levels.
- Compliance and Safety:
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations regarding the storage and handling of inventory.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the storage areas.
- Implement and oversee security measures to prevent theft and loss of inventory.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience in inventory management, preferably in the hospitality or food and beverage industry.
- Strong organizational and multitasking skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
- Proficiency in using inventory management software and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word).
- Strong communication and negotiation skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
