TITLE: Software Development Manager

We are looking for a passionate and experienced Software Development Manager to join our growing team and lead our development efforts.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Leadership and Management:
• Lead and mentor a team of software developers working on Python, Flutter, and PostgreSQL.
• Foster a collaborative and inclusive team environment that encourages innovation and continuous improvement.
• Conduct regular performance reviews and provide constructive feedback to team members.

• Project Management:
• Oversee the full software development lifecycle, from requirements gathering to deployment and maintenance.
• Collaborate with product managers, designers, and other stakeholders to ensure timely and successful delivery of projects.
• Ensure projects are delivered on time, within scope, and within budget.

• Technical Oversight:
• Provide technical guidance and expertise in Python, Flutter, and PostgreSQL.
• Review and approve code, ensuring high standards of quality, security, and performance.
• Stay updated with emerging technologies and industry trends to ensure our tech stack remains current and competitive.
• Create and maintain CI/CD pipelines to automate and streamline development processes.

• Cloud Infrastructure:
• Manage and optimize our cloud infrastructure on Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
• Ensure scalability, reliability, and security of our cloud-based applications. GCP experience is nice to have, but not mandatory; willingness to learn and adapt to GCP is expected.

• Collaboration and Communication:
• Act as a liaison between the development team and other departments, facilitating clear and effective communication.
• Prepare and present project status reports to senior management and stakeholders.
• Promote a culture of transparency, accountability, and open communication.

• Reporting and KPIs:
• Report directly to the Chief Technology Officer (CTO).
• Set and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) related to code quality, team productivity, and project delivery.
• Ensure the delivery of clean, maintainable, and well-documented enterprise code.

Job Requirements

o   Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.

o   Proven experience (5+ years) in software development and management, with a strong background in Python, Flutter, and PostgreSQL.

o   Prior experience in a leadership or managerial role within a tech startup or a similar fast-paced environment.

Technical Skills:

o   Proficiency in Python and its frameworks (e.g., Django, Flask).

o   Expertise in mobile app development using Flutter.

o   Strong knowledge of PostgreSQL and database design.

o   Experience with cloud platforms, particularly Google Cloud Platform (GCP), is a plus.

o   Experience in creating and maintaining CI/CD pipelines.
