TITLE: ACCOUNTING INTERN

REPORTS TO: SENIOR ACCOUNTING EXECUTIVE

DEPARTMENT: FINANCE

SALARY: N100,000

LEVEL: INTERNSHIP/ENTRY LEVEL 

POSITION SUMMARY:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Accounting Intern to join our team. This internship offers hands-on experience in accounting practices within a dynamic and supportive environment. The ideal candidate will assist in various accounting tasks and gain practical knowledge in financial reporting and analysis.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Assist in preparing financial statements and reports.
• Perform daily bank reconciliations and maintain accurate financial records.
• Assist in forecasting activities.
• Support the audit process and ensure compliance with accounting standards.
• Collaborate with team members on special projects as assigned.
• Ensure proper filing and organization of financial documents.
• Assist in processing invoices and payments.
• Conduct research and analysis 
• Assist in generating monthly financial reports and other periodic reports as requested.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIREMENTS

• Bsc Accounting or Finance & Banking (2:1)
• Minimum of 1 year experience as an accountant
• Basic understanding of accounting principles and practices, financial analysis, and reporting standards 
• Intermediate skills in Microsoft Excel necessary.
• Experience in accounting software packages (Sage, Quickbooks, etc), added advantage. 
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills
• Must be capable of working independently and multi-tasking (i.e. working on varied projects per time)
• Capable of working remotely
