Description

Role: Business Development Executive

Location: Ikeja, Lagos, Nigeria

Sector: Financial Investments, Wealth Management

Salary: N150,000 – N250,000
Are you an ambitious and dynamic professional looking for a challenging role in the financial investments and wealth management sector? We are seeking a highly motivated Business Development Executive to join our team and drive the expansion of our client base in the Nigerian market. The business development executive will be responsible for creating, identifying, developing, and closing business opportunities that generate new revenue
streams for the company. This role manages sales and marketing initiatives to
achieve growth objectives.

Responsibilities:

  • Work physically from our office(s) developing and executing business development strategies to onboard new financial and wealth management clients for our firm in the Nigerian market.
  • Build a solid pipeline of leads through existing business networks, contacts referrals, and cold outreach.
  • Leverage existing relationships and contacts in the finance, business and investment sectors to identify potential clients for our wealth management and investment services.
  • Set up workshops, presentations, and large-scale pitches while attending industry events, conferences, and seminars to network.
  • Conduct presentations, pitches, one-on-one meetings, and product demos to prospects to demonstrate our investment capabilities, trustworthiness, and value proposition.
  • Close and onboard new individual and institutional trading clients.
  • Manage the client acquisition process from lead to closure.
  • Grow and retain the client base by building strong relationships, ensuring top service, and cross-selling additional offerings.
  • Continuously analyse performance and find ways to improve lead generation numbers and conversion rates.
  • Track all prospect interactions in CRM.

Requirements

  • BSc in business, Finance or related field from a top rated University
  • 3-4 years of evidenced experience in sales or business development in the banking or financial services industry
  • Existing relationships with investment firms, funds, High Net worth Investors and business owners
  • Strong negotiation, communication and presentation skills negotiation and relationship-building skills
  • Motivated self-starter with the drive to meet acquisition goals
  • Knowledge of sales processes, business development techniques, and marketing principles
  • Proficiency in CRM platforms and MS Office
  • Professional, articulate, sophisticated, and presentable.
